Due Jan 16 with a GIRL!!! asked:

Okay so my boyfriend and I are getting married last minute long story lol but we are going to the courthouse tomorrow and my mother is taking me out today to get him a ring, and well, his big sausage fingers require a size 13 ring and i have called many places and they only carry a 10 or 11...and yes they can order it but I need it by today. Anyone know of any places that might sell bigger rings? Any chain stores? I live in Baltimore so if your familiar with here than maybe you an give me some ideas too
Thanks!

Husband has never worn a ring in 11 years, says it is because of irritation, what do you think?

You could always look in a pawn shop. You might find a really good deal also.

I would start calling Wal-Marts, pawn shops and jewelry stores the minute they open. Saves time and gas.

I’m going to have to throw in Wal-mart (or K-mart if you can find one). I know it’s a bit cheap and some consider it tacky, but use the money you save to pay rent/the mortgage and a few years when you’re more financially stable, upgrade to a nicer ring. It’s really a good idea if you ask me!

Go to a small jeweler that does custom work. They should have a jeweler on site who can size whatever ring you want. If you make a few phone calls you should find a jeweler that is working today. Any chain store can only give you what they have in stock and will most likely not be able to size it for you because they send out their work.

can’t they re size them in the store for you to fit his 13 size finger. If not I would just order one and have him wait for it. I know when I got married we had our rings but it was not mandatory. That is the first thing the judge asked us was if we were going to exchange rings.

size 13 usualy has to be specially ordered. you could just get a cheap ring for now that fits and order another one that he can help pick out after the ceremony.

    congrats!

When my fiance proposed, he proposed with a size seven ring. I wear a nine. I took it in to the jewelery store the day he proposed, around 6 pm. By 8 pm, my ring was ready to go. It was a local jewelry store, not like Zales or Osterman’s. If you have a local, family owned jewelry store in your area, you should be able to walk in, buy the ring, and have it sized and ready to go in a matter of HOURS.

Jared’s Galleria of Jewlery does their own “shop work” on the rings in their store. So if it needs re-sized, you take it in, they size it for you while you wait.
So I would suggest purchasing it from there and telling them you need it today. Plus, their prices are unbeatable and it’s really great there!

A small privately owned jewelry store re-sized my wedding rings overnight, cause I didn’t wanty to be ringless for a week.
I think, the sooner you go, the better. If you buy the ring there, and explain what’s going on, I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to get it done in time (if they have a heart).
    But go ASAP…
Like, right now! Log off, go! :-)
