Toothpaste is great for cleaning and polishing a ring.

One of my friends owns a jewelry store, and he uses a solution consisting of equal parts household amonia and water. I’ve tried this myself, and it works wonders!

I have found that a good liquid degreaser works best. I usually take alittle and put in in a sauce pan and heat it up on the stove, w/ the jewlry in the pan, also… wait till it just starts to boil, then remove pan and take a old toothbrush and scrub lightly. Rinse in warm water and you will be amazed! Rubbing alcohol and white vinegar are also good (heat the same way). Heat breaks up the dirt.
