I think it would be awesome! A little traditional, a little unique. I have a freind who got engaged with some kind of solid blue stone ring (Can’t remember exactly what it is). There is a story behind it for them and that is all that matters. After I had been married for a while my husband and I found a beautiful tanzanite ring (i love tanzanite). It is set similarly to a diamand solitare and he joked that he should have gotten that for me instead of my diamond – he was joking but I would have loved it (not that I don’t love my diamond too lol). He bought it for me anyway and I wear it on my rght hand ring finger.
