I wouldn’t have a problem with it. My parents have been married for over 25 years and neither wear wedding rings. The ring is a symbol of commitment, but I don’t think *not* wearing a ring necessitates a lack of commitment.

My father has this same problem, he wears it out to dinner and things of that sort but not to work, or around the house it gets in the way and he is afraid of damaging it, also it somtimes irritates the skin on his finger. jewlry is not some mens thing.. on abstract idea i heard of my moms mechanic friend doing was he had a “band” tatooed onto his finger, i am sure its not for everyone but deffinatly a unique idea.

i’ve been married 16 years and still do not wear a ring.I work on cars and do all sorts of things that my ring could get caught on.It’s no big deal to my wife.

don’t worry maybe it is like what he says. i’m sure he still loves you. i know you need some form of assurance but still, the ring is just a physical object.. don’t brood over it k? cheer up (:

Don’t worry
Wether he wears one or not doesn’t matter at all and it cerainly isn’t going to affect your relationshiP.
My parents have been married for 18 years and they never bother to wear their wedding and engagement rings apart from special occasion.

Sorry to be one, could be either, and or both:
1) He’s having sex with others.
2) He fell out of love with you 11 years ago and is the type to rather stay in a marriage that has no passion than to except that it happens and file for divorce.
Smoky Eye
much better not to wear it than have one more ring misplaced or missing.

ok so he won’t wear a ring, a ring is only a symbol of his love, does he still act like he is in love with you? My Mother and Father were married for over 40 years and my Mother was the only one to wear a ring. Even if he wore when he left the house does not mean he would wear it all day anyways. If he hasn’t worn it in 11 years why would you worry about it now? Don’t let this mess with your head. Does he work in a field of work that the ring would get in his way such as mechanical or anywhere it could get caught on and damage his finger? There are a lot of men out there who don’t wear a ring and it doesn’t mean they are all out there looking for an affair or anything like that. I had to take my rings off when I went to work and I am a woman, they would get caught on things and boy would it hurt.
Look at the bright side you have been married 11 years, a lot of marriage now a day don’t last much longer than the ink to dry on the paper.

I think maybe he should have his ring tattooed on!

Buy him a stainless steel one half a size smaller than his finger and yes you can buy them in smaller widths!
Give it to him during your renewal of vows ceremony!

I have already been told by my fiancee that he won’t be wearing his ring daily. He is a firefighter and he would rather keep his finger then lose it at his job because he has on a ring. I agree with him.
Let him know it bothers you but the real question is….do you trust him. It really comes down to that.

my hubby doesn’t wear a ring, because of his job in the navy. I have bought 2 of them, and he lost both of them. Alot of men who are blue collar workers don’t wear rings, because of safety reasons. good luck.
