For her birthday, I bought her some Agent Provocatuer lingerie, along with a very large sample from La Senza, Victoria's Secret, and others.
I also got her five pairs of pajamas, a few pairs of socks, a ton of vintage (pre-1950's) glass beads, two antique cookbooks, a Boos cutting board, a couple DVD's she's been wanting, some dehydrated blueberries that she's totally nuts for but rarely gets, and finally some very yummy dark chocolate.
Of course she'll be getting an obscene number of flowers and perhaps I'll think of one or two other little things as well.
Am I a total dork?

Any wife would be lucky to get all that stuff! Just make sure you don’t get disappointed if she doesn’t get you as much stuff for your birthday. If that’s why you’re giving her so much stuff, then you’re doing it for the wrong reasons.

I think it’s sweet. My sister is lucky if she gets anything. Her husband will often buy her something for one occasion and think that will be enough for her birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc. I think it’s great that you took into account all of her favorite things and are making her birthday really special.

It really depends. If you have the money, its very sweet of you to care for her and show her how much you love her and pay attention, but next year shes gonna expect more, and I don’t think she will wear out all that lingerie and pajamas yet! There is also this. Ask her if its all too much. How would we know? All women are different, no matter how much we seem alike.
