Snickers asked:

My grandmother's gold ring with her childrens birthstones recently lost a stone, and no jewelry store can fix it. I'd like to save up for a ring with her childrens and grandchildrens birthstones on it. Approximatly houw much would one cost, if the stones weren't too big? I'd just like to have an idea.
She said fixing it would cost more than the ring is worth. Too expensive. She really wants one that includes her 4 grandchildren.

  1. Men's Rings says:

It all depends on what the stones are, but they is hard to believe you can’t find a place to fix it.

Pricing on a “Mother’s Ring” can depend on wha Birthstones you have in it. Here is a list of Stones per month with an “idea” of a pricing area:

Jan- Garnet ( not expensive )
Feb- Amethyst ( not expensive )
Mar- Aquamarine ( medium price range )
    April- Diamond ( expensive )
May- Emerald ( expensive if natural stone is used )
June- Alexandrite/Pearl ( now, if genuine Alexandrite is used…very expensive…if synthetic, inexpensive. Sometimes Smoky Quartz is used in its place. Pearl is not that expensive )
July- Ruby ( expensive if natural )
August- Peridot ( not expensive )
    September- Sapphire ( expensive )
October- Opal/Pink Tourmaline ( medium price level on each )
November- Citrine/ Golden Topaz ( Citrine is not expensive. Golden Topaz if genuine is a medium to expensive price point )
December- Blue Topaz/ Turquoise/Tanzanite/Blue Zircon ( Blue Topaz and Tuquoise are not that expensive. Tanzanite & BlueZircon can run a bit more )

    Hope this helps….
